Mike Black Ministries - guatemala
New Life Christian Fellowship has partnered with Mike Black Ministries for over 20 years. Mike and Pat Black moved their family and their lives to Guatemala from our Space Coast community and have found an assignment for their lives’ work. New Life has been blessed to send teams and to send finances regularly to help keep this great ministry reaching out to a needy third world country.

Piedra Ancha is an isolated community, unreachable except by a 4WD vehicle or by walking 5 hours in.
Poverty, high mortality rate, violence, lack of jobs and little education creates tremendous instability within the family and society, which does not give the culture time to think about children. MB Ministries thinks about them and offer our Children’s Club as a place where they can forget about reality for a few hours and receive attention and love. They have two distinct programs with about 175 to 200 Indigenous children in each one, and a team of 15 children workers. Since January 2008, they have been teaching a Bible course in the elementary school in the town where they have one of their Children’s Clubs. MB Ministries is with approx 250 kids once a week.
In December 2010 New Life’s Elwood Matthews Legacy Team joined Mike Black Ministries and served the people of Guatemala from the city to the mountains. Many lives were changed in this outreach as our young adults had a wonderful opportunity to bring hope and change to a culture in need of Christ.
